The IIT Bombay FOSSEE GIS team promotes the usage of GIS-based Free/Libre Open Source Software and Open Source Hardware in academia and industry. It also promotes the use of various indigenous Indian technologies like NavIC (ISRO), etc. The FOSSEE-GIS team is part of the FOSSEE project, developed at IIT Bombay which is funded through the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT), Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The Rural Data Research and Analysis (RuDRA) Lab, IIT Bombay
The Rural Data Research and Analysis (RuDRA) Lab, IIT Bombay is India’s first HPC/ Supercomputing facility powered data center dedicated to Rural Development, While Data labs exist for large fields, such data labs focusing on rural communities are limited. On that note, the Rural Data Research and Analysis (RuDRA) Lab aims to become the leading academically-based center in India where research will be conducted in India’s renowned technical institution – the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), and research findings/products will be tested and applied at rural areas, where Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas (CTARA) already has long-lasting experience. Therefore the focus will be on applied research with a focus on rural areas - natural resources management, education, health care, food security, climate change and sustainability. The Rural Data Research and Analysis (RuDRA) Lab, IIT Bombay is a dedicated technical partner FOSSEE GIS project activities.

Honeybee Population Healthcare Foundation (HPHF) is a not-for-profit entity registered under the Companies Act 2013 (18 of 2013), based in Chennai, India. Our mission is to foster sustainable population-scale digital adoption, governance, and research through a Systems Sustainability Toolkit (SST), a Digital Platform for Fiduciary Services, Citizen-Centric Predictive Service Delivery at a population scale, and local, national and international partnerships. The HPHF team is an amalgamation of Public Policy Experts, Administrators, Field Operation Experts, Data Scientists, Statisticians, Public Health Specialists, Epidemiologists, Clinicians (Generalists and specialists), Technologists, Academicians, And Researchers with 100+ years of collective experience in their respective domains. The HPHF team has formulated flagship programmes, advised national and international policies in mass gatherings, emergency response, disease surveillance, and one health.
